Bill Would Let Landlords Prohibit Use of Medical Marijuana on Property

LANSING, MI -- Michigan landlords could prohibit the use, possession or cultivation of medical marijuana on private property under a new proposal up for debate this week in the Legislature. Senate Bill 783, sponsored by Sens. Rick Jones (R-Grand Ledge) and James Marleau (R-Lake Orion), would make it illegal to possess or use medical marijuana on private property if the owner prohibits it.

Michigan Supreme Court Strikes Down Wyoming Medical Marijuana Ordinance

Medical marijuana brings in record revenues to Michigan

LANSING, MI -- Michigan's medical marijuana program generated record revenues last fiscal year despite declining enrollment numbers and a steep drop in registered caregivers. The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs approved more than 82,000 new medical marijuana applications and 36,000 renewals for the year ending September 30, according to department reports mandated by the state's 2008 voter-approved law.
