DNR plan would lift cap on state land purchases

Michigan's Department of Natural Resources is delivering a proposal to Gov. Rick Snyder this month that it hopes will help lead to the lifting of a state-imposed cap on land acquisitions. Last year, the Republican-controlled Legislature limited the state's holdings to 4.6 million acres.
