State Lawmakers Propose Contrasting Bills Related to Abortion

Bill requiring separate health insurance rider for abortion was approved after petition drive lead by Right to Life of Michigan
State Sen. Gretchen Whitmer, D-East Lansing, and state Rep. Sarah Roberts, D-St. Clair Shores, will hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m. Monday to discuss a bill they've introduced which would repeal a bill passed last year that would require women to buy a separate rider on their health insurance coverage if they wanted abortion covered.
