North Beach in South Haven back open

South Haven’s beaches have been closed off-and-on this summer due to E. Coli. For now they’re open to swimmers.
SOUTH HAVEN, MI -- North Beach has been re-opened to swimming after E. coli testing Wednesday. The results of the test showed that the amount of E. coli in the water is in compliance with the state standard, so the Van Buren/Cass County District Public Health Department discontinued a public health advisory.

Kalamazoo Public Safety gets six new officers, assistant chief

Ryan Tibbets' promotion to assistant chief of fire and administration, was made official Wednesday in an e-mail Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley sent to his staff.

Judge dismisses anti-fracking lawsuit

South Beach back open
