Color-coded school ratings paint Michigan yellow

Lead in text:
The color code has five colors: green is the best while red is the worst. The majority of schools are falling into yellow which, according to officials at the Michigan Department of Education, means those schools need to be cautious. One of the only schools in Southwest Michigan to receive a ‘green’ was Greenwood Elementary in Kalamazoo.
A new accountability system being launched today for Michigan schools shows many have a long way to go to meet ambitious goals set by the state - with most schools and districts earning a mark that indicates they're in need of improvement. Few schools earned the best rating.
