St. Joseph County commissioner may face gun charges

A police report says the incident followed an argument between County Commissioner Donald Eaton and several other men. The case could be sent to prosecutors in another county on Friday.
STURGIS, MI -- A St. Joseph County commissioner had two guns confiscated and could face criminal charges after he brought a handgun into the Sturgis Applebee's after a drunken argument last month, according to a police report.

Pat Yoder will become Saint Joseph County Administrator.

Saint Joseph County hires its first administrator to return to job

Yoder is currently Village Manager of Three Oaks. He will tell the Village Council Wednesday night of his plan to change jobs.

CENTREVILLE, MI - The search for a new St. Joseph County administrator took an unexpected turn Tuesday, when a recruiter the county was contemplating working with ended up being offered - and accepting - the job. The post will be filled by J. Patrick Yoder, who held the position from its creation in 1990 until 1994.
