Feds reject grant application for harbor on Saint Joseph River

Posted: ST. JOSEPH - The federal government has turned down Berrien County's application for a $10 million grant to reconfigure the commercial harbor on the St. Joseph River. "We knew it was a long shot," county Planning Coordinator John Gruchot said Thursday. "When it comes around again, we will resubmit."
