Lansing Republican Terri Lynn Land raised $1.5 million in the first three months of this year in her bid for the U.S. Senate against presumptive Democratic opponent Gary Peters. Lands campaign disclosed the former secretary of states first quarter fundraising total Monday night to The Detroit News.

Poll Shows Peters Leading Land in Race for U.S. Senate

A new poll has U.S. Rep Gary Peters, D-Bloomfield Hills, leading former Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land. If the election were held now, 39.7 percent of the people asked would vote for Peters and 36.7 percent for Land, according to a poll paid for by Lambert, Edwards & Associates and conducted by Denno Research.
