New Weather Buoys Deployed in Great Lakes for Safety

Buoys provide information about wave height, wind speed and other factors
Two more weather buoys were deployed this spring into Great Lakes. That brings to 19 the buoys that help forecasters predict Great Lakes waves and warn swimmers of dangerous conditions. One result of the buoy system is the discovery that waves near the shore can be much larger than those farther away.

Safety Study Proposed for Piers in St. Joseph
