BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- Western Michigan trailed Mid-American Conference East leader Bowling Green by two at halftime, 32-30, but couldn't keep in stride with the Falcons in the final 20 minutes, falling 72-50 on the road Wednesday. Post play and rebounding helped WMU give Bowling Green a run for its money in the first half.

MUNCIE, Ind. - Western Michigan led Ball State by eight in the second half, but couldn't put the Cardinals away on the road Wednesday, falling 56-43. The Broncos battled foul trouble throughout the evening and were whistled for 16 infractions in the second half alone.

KALAMAZOO, Mi. - One of these days, Western Michigan University's women's basketball team will learn how to play with a lead. That didn't happen, again, Wednesday night as the Broncos had a 17-point lead in the second half against Miami only to have the RedHawks tie the game at 73 with a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

YPSILANTI, Mich.- Four players scored in double figures for Western Michigan, but it wasn't enough as Eastern Michigan defeated the Broncos, 83-77. WMU trailed by three at halftime, 39-36, and was also outscored by three in the second half in the six-point loss.
