KALAMAZOO, MI -- Kalamazoo Mayor Bobby Hopewell led spending in the Kalamazoo City Commission race for the Nov. 5 election, narrowly outspending his running mate, Vice Mayor David Anderson. Hopewell spent a total of $21,304 in his campaign, according to pre- and post-election campaign finance reports filed in the Kalamazoo County Clerk's office.

Lower turnout for Battle Creek city elections despite increase in registered voters
