Democrat Gary Peters Raises $1.35-Million in First Quarter

LANSING, MI -- U.S. Rep Gary Peters, D-Bloomfield Hills, raised more than $1.35 million in the first quarter of 2014, his campaign announced Tuesday. For the whole campaign, Peters has raised more than $4.82 million from 19,000 people, according to the campaign, which said the average donation of support this quarter was less than $100.

PORTAGE, MI - With two Republicans having already announced their candidacy for the 61st District state House seat, a Democratic candidate has now joined the race. Oshtemo Township Pastor John Fisher, 63, announced his intention to run for the seat this fall at two separate press conferences Thursday.
