Battle Creek City Commissioner Andy Helmboldt has announced he will seek the Democratic nomination for Michigan's 62nd District state House seat this year. Vicksburg Schools Putting Bond Request for New Facilities on May Ballot

VICKSBURG, MI -- Officials at Vicksburg Community Schools are asking voters in May to approve a $15.4 million bond issue for facility improvement. The bond issue would increase the district's debt levy by 1.5 mills, or about $84 on a home with a taxable value of $56,000 and an assessed value of $112,000, which is about average for the district.
