KALAMAZOO, MI -- Kalamazoo City Commissioner Don Cooney was once one of Michigan's foremost leaders in the anti-apartheid movement. Kalamazoo Public Schools Superintendent Michael Rice, and Lisa Brock, academic director of Kalamazoo College's Arcus Center for Social Justice. were among those who marched against apartheid three decades ago.
