German manufacturer plans to open facility in Battle Creek

Another global auto supplier is bringing its business to Battle Creek. Bleistahl North America is expected to open a manufacturing facility at 190 Clark Road in the Fort Custer Industrial Park this summer, Doug Voshell, marketing director for economic development group Battle Creek Unlimited, said Thursday.

Magazine ranks Battle Creek among best for business development

Battle Creek and another nearby city came in near the top of a national ranking based on business development in 2012. Battle Creek and Jackson tied for second place among metropolitan areas with populations under 200,000 in rankings released by Site Selection magazine. Both cities counted 13 projects last year.

New investments to bring 800 jobs to Battle Creek
