PORTAGE, MI - Kalamazoo County Commissioner Brandt Iden has defeated fellow commissioner Phil Stinchomb in a bid for the Republican nomination for the 61st state House District. Iden captured 55 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results. He will face Democrat John Fisher and Libertarian Michael Stampfler in November.
