(MPRN-Lansing) If you want to call 911 to report an overdose, you could soon be able to do that without fear of prosecution for drug possession.

The drug company Cephalon will compensate the State of Michigan $3.4 million as part of a multi-state fraud settlement. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette’s office made that announcement Friday.

"ALLEGAN, MI -- Generic drugmaker Mylan NV has offered to buy Perrigo Co. for $28.9 billion. Mylan offered $205 a share in cash and stock, which represents a greater than 25 percent premium to the Perrigo trading price as of the close of business on Friday, April 3, and a greater than 29 percent premium to Perrigo's 60-day average share price, according to a statement Wednesday on Mylan's website."
