KVCC Board Approves Contract with Part-Time Faculty

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Valley Community College Board of Trustees on Tuesday ratified a three-year contract with the KVCC Federation of Teachers, which represents the part-time faculty at the college. It is the first contract for the KVCCFT, which was formed in 2012.

Lake Michigan College Looks to Sell M-TEC Center

BENTON TOWNSHIP - Organizations' need change all the time, which is why Lake Michigan College is ready to sell the M-TEC building and place its manufacturing technology program on its Napier Avenue campus, officials said. LMC's Board of Trustees on Tuesday authorized President Bob Harrison to start negotiating the building's sale.

Albion College Program to Pay for Some Local Students to Attend

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Western Michigan University Board of Trustees has called a special meeting to discuss compensation and a contract extension for WMU President John Dunn at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7. The meeting will be held in Rooms 157-159 of the Bernhard Center. Dunn has served as the university's president since 2007.

Two Finalists Selected for Harper Creek Superintendent

Interviews with the finalists are scheduled for November 11th
Two finalists have been selected in Harper Creek Community Schools' search for its next superintendent. They are Richard Franklin, superintendent of Athens Area Schools, and Robert Ridgeway, superintendent of the Homer Community School District. Matt Montange, principal of Harper Creek High School, remains an alternate finalist in case either Franklin or Ridgeway withdraws as a candidate.
