Christopher Wahmhoff crawled into the finished pipeline on June 24 to protest construction of a replacement for the line that ruptured in July 2010, spilling nearly a million gallons of crude oil into the Kalamazoo River.

A decision on a request to use a second site for a dredging "pad" was delayed until August 29th.

The EPA ordered Enbridge to dredge parts of Morrow Lake to clean up oil left from a massive spill into the Kalamazoo River in 2010.

The company wanted to move their deadline to December in order to deal with disputes over dredging the lake from Bell’s Brewery and Comstock Township.
