Enbridge could continue dredging through winter

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI - Enbridge may not be suspending its dredging operations on the Kalamazoo River until spring after all. Both an Enbridge spokesman and Comstock Township Supervisor Ann Nieuwenhuis confirmed Friday that the two sides are in preliminary discussions to allow the oil company to continue its dredging of Morrow Lake throughout the winter.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI - Enbridge, Inc. has suspended its dredging operations at Morrow Lake until spring, a company spokesman said Thursday. Jason Manshum, senior advisor of community relations for Enbridge, said Enbridge ceased all of its dredging operations along the Kalamazoo River on Dec. 10.

Battle Creek pushes sustainability
