(MPRN-Lansing)  When the state Legislature returns its holiday break, it’ll have a list of things to try and get done before the end of the year. One item could be controversial gun bills. 

State Board Of Education Deadlocked Over Gun Bills

(MPRN-Lansing) The State Board of Education can’t agree on what to do about recent gun legislation. There are four Democrats and four Republicans on the board, and there must be five “yes” votes in order for any measure to pass.

(MPRN-Lansing) In the wake of another mass shooting, the state Legislature took up bills to expand the state’s concealed carry laws.

(MPRN-Lansing) Controversial gun legislation was up for a vote in the state House Wednesday. The legislation would get rid of the permit necessary to carry a concealed weapon – along with the training requirement to get a gun. 


(MPRN-Lansing) Colleges are allowed to ban guns on their campuses. That was the decision of the Michigan Court of Appeals Wednesday.
