Michigan, like many other states, is projected to face a growing shortage of primary care doctors. A new reports from the Citizen's Research Council of Michigan finds the lack of doctors will likely be concentrated in some areas of the state.

The U.S. Supreme Court will soon hand down a ruling that may decide whether thousands of Michiganders can afford health insurance. The court could strike down insurance subsidies offered under the federal health care law. 

HASTINGS, MI -- With the merger announced Wednesday, April 15, Pennock Hospital will become the 12th hospital in the Grand Rapids-based Spectrum Health system. Pennock, a Barry County hospital near Hastings, will be integrated May 1 into Spectrum Health, and its new name will be Spectrum Health Pennock. (MLive)
