Republican Congressman says military action could go on longer than planned and spread to other countries

U.S. Representative Justin Amash is against a military strike against Syria and questions the constitutionality of President Obama’s actions.

Amash says any decision to launch military action against the Syrian government would be unconstitutional without congressional approval.

Amash (R-Grand Rapids) criticized fellow lawmakers to voted against an amendment that would have limited the government's ability to track domestic e-mails and phone calls.

Grand Rapids Republican Justin Amash argued that amendment would protect privacy
