Kalamazoo band Pleasant Drive will play Friday night at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Band members Jason Curtis and Evan Kincaid describe their music as dynamic. From song to song, you could hear influences from Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, or The White Stripes.

The Kalamazoo Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra will play Friday during the Art Hop at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. I talked with the group’s founding members Jackie Zito and Miles Kusik to find out a little bit more about the mandolin and its ties to Kalamazoo.
Friday night at 6 p.m., the Kalamazoo Jaycees will take residents on a ghost tour through downtown Kalamazoo. Although the tour is mostly historical, it reminds us of just how many haunted tales the city holds.
