PORTAGE, MI - David Campbell, current superintendent of the Livingston Regional Education Service Agency and former head of Olivet Community Schools, has been offered a contract to become the next superintendent of the Kalamazoo RESA. The KRESA board voted 5-0 in favor of Campbell's appointment after an afternoon of public interviews with both finalists, including Curtis E.

Ypsilanti Superintendent withdraws from KRESA search

KALAMAZOO, MI -- One of the three finalists for superintendent for the Kalamazoo Regional Education Service Agency has withdrawn because he has been offered the superintendency in St. Johns Public Schools north of Lansing. The St. Johns board voted Thursday night to offer the job to Ypsilanti School District Superintendent Dedrick Martin, who was named a finalist for the KRESA position Tuesday.

KRESA board meeting Tuesday to name finalists for Superintendent

PORTAGE, MI -- The five members of the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency are meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, to name a finalist or finalists to become the next KRESA superintendent. The board will go into a closed-door session to review the four people who submitted applications, said Ron Fuller, the current KRESA superintendent.

Is Head Start in KRESA's future?

The program is currently run by Kalamazoo County's Health and Human Services Department.
KRESA will likely know in the spring who is successful receiving the grant, Kristi Carambula said. However, KRESA is operating as if it will take control of the program. "We're planning on it being at KRESA," Carambula said. KRESA staff is meeting weekly with the current Head Start staff to prepare for a transition.
