Public safety tax increase approved in Pennfield

Similar proposal was rejected in May
Pennfield Township residents approved an increase to their public safety millage Tuesday. Nine hundred sixty-six residents supported the increase while484 opposed it. The vote totals Tuesday night were unofficial. The tax hike was originally proposed to voters in May, but was rejected by 24 votes in an election that saw a low voter turnout.
