KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI -- Kalamazoo Township trustees adopted an ordinance Monday that bans discrimination in employment, public accommodation and housing practices. Trustees adopted the ordinance in a 6-0 vote, which drew applause from the approximately 30 people in the audience.

Animal facility proposed for Berrien County

ST. JOSEPH - The Berrien County Board on Thursday approved a contract for initial engineering work on the site of a proposed new animal control facility in Benton Township. The contract is with Wightman & Associates for $36,600. The company will work on design and construction engineering, do soil borings and check out wetlands.
