Michael Rice

Kalamazoo Public Schools

This week on WestSouthwest we speak with Kalamazoo Public School Superintendent Michael Rice. Joining us is Kalamazoo Gazette education reporter Julie Mack.

Voters in the Kalamazoo Public School district will vote on a $62-million bond proposal on May 7th. It would pay for various improvements at several buildings in the district.

Board says vote on superintendent evaluation was unanimous

Rice says he wants people to see spending on education and support services as a moral issue to ensure all children have an equal opportunity in life.
