Michigan Jobless Rate Beats National Average

(MPRN-Lansing) Michigan’s official unemployment rate has dropped just slightly below the national average. 

Unemployment rates have dropped more than one-percentage point in both the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek labor markets over the last year. 

LANSING, MI -- Michigan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stands at 5.1 percent as of August, a 0.2 percentage point drop from July's 5.3 percent posting." (MLive)
