PORTAGE, MI -- An arbitrator has ruled in favor of the Portage Public Schools Board of Education in a claim filed by former superintendent Ric Perry, who says he was unfairly forced out of his position. The decision was announced Wednesday evening in a press release from the district.

PORTAGE, MI -- A decision is expected by the end of June on last week's arbitration hearin g involving the Portage Public Schools Board of Education and former Superintendent Ric Perry, school board president Bo Snyder said Wednesday. Snyder also said that the board will get an update on their search for a new superintendent at the June 3 meeting.

PORTAGE, MI -- A three-day arbitration hearing begins Tuesday, May 21, to decide whether the Portage Public Schools Board of Education violated the contract of former Superintendent Ric Perry by forcing him to resign. The hearing, which is scheduled to run through Thursday, May 23, will be closed to the public, acting Superintendent Rob Olsen said.
