KALAMAZOO, MI - Consumers Energy has been able to restore power to some in Southwest Michigan, but more than 47,000 in the region are still without electricity one day after a powerful storm swept through the region. Power may not be restored for most until Friday and some harder-hit regions could have to wait until Saturday, Consumers Energy said in a press release.

It may be until late Friday until power is restored for most, Consumers Energy said in a press release, and it could take as long as Saturday for those in harder-hit areas.

Power outages in Augusta and Richland Friday morning

AUGUSTA, MI - More than three-quarters of the Consumers Energy customers in the Augusta are are without power early Friday morning as high winds and rain passed through overnight. According to Consumers Energy outage map, in Augusta, 1,284 out of 1,652 customers, 77.7 percent, were affected Friday morning.
