(MPRN-Lansing) Teachers, firefighters and police are celebrating. That’s after lawmakers dropped legislation that would make drastic changes to their retirement benefits.

(MPRN-Lansing) Police officers, fire fighters, and other municipal employees are planning what they are titling a “call to action” Tuesday at the State Capitol. 

"LANSING — The Michigan Supreme Court has sent back to the Court of Appeals a pension case affecting the possible repayment to Michigan teachers and other school employees of a $552.7-million escrow fund held by the state." (Detroit Free Press)

The Retirement System approved the proposal unanimously, but the process isn't done yet.
