The Michigan Supreme Court says it won’t take up an appeal by a former Portage school superintendent who says he deserves compensation after getting forced out of his post. Ric Perry, the former superintendent of Portage Public Schools, sued the Portage school board in 2013. The board forced him out after it discovered his affair with another district staff member. Perry sought nearly $300,000 in compensation because he said the affair did not violate his contract.
