More than 300 gay and lesbian couples in Michigan are legally married now that Governor Rick Snyder has decided not to contest a court order. 

The high court says it will also rule on similar bans in Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

The U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals is hearing arguments Wednesday from court cases in Michigan and three other states that have banned same sex marriage. The six lawsuits involve either challenges to the bans or question the validity of same-sex marriages performed in other states.
