(MPRN-Warren) President Obama was in Michigan on Wednesday to roll out new initiatives meant to boost job training and community college enrollment. 

"President Barack Obama will visit Macomb Community College in Warren Wednesday to speak about the importance of skills in getting jobs. Obama has made community college a major part of his education agenda. And Republican Gov. Rick Snyder has made the promotion of a skilled workforce a major part of his second-term policy priorities. (MPRN-Detroit) Gov. Rick Snyder is getting some tough questions about the May ballot proposal to boost road funding at his education and economic summit this week in Detroit. The plan would raise the state’s sales tax from 6% to 7% and boost road funding by about a $1 billion a year.
