A different kind of “crowd-funding” program holds its next event in Kalamazoo Saturday, March 25. The Urban Democracy Feast raises money for social justice projects ranging from prison reform to youth leadership and employment issues.

In May the first Urban Democracy Feast was held in Kalamazoo. It offers people with an idea for a social justice project the chance to make their pitch for funding. The Urban Feast includes dinner and presentations about ideas for tackling an issue in the community.
