KALAMAZOO, MI - Austin Richie gave the Western Michigan men's basketball team exactly what it was looking for him in the season opener against Aquinas College Sunday. The senior point guard scored a career-high 28 points in the Broncos' 87-57 win over the Saints.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Connar Tava said Western Michigan men's basketball coach Steve Hawkins had a message for his players during the practices leading up to Sunday's exhibition game against Kalamazoo College. The Broncos throttled Spring Arbor, 96-57, in their exhibition opener on Tuesday, but Hawkins said after the game he was less than pleased with his team's defense.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- The game time for the Western Michigan football game against Eastern Michigan on Nov. 15 at Waldo Stadium has been set for 2 p.m., school officials announced Monday. The Broncos (6-3, 4-1 MAC) are coming off of a 41-10 win at Miami (Ohio) will be looking for their fifth consecutive win while the Eagles (2-7, 1-4) will look to snap a three-game skid.

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Western Michigan freshman Emma Kahn headed in the game-winning goal in the 107th minute to send the Broncos to the Mid-American Conference Tournament Semifinals after a 3-2 upset over third-seeded Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon.
