State Representative Jon Hoadley says Governor Rick Snyder’s State of the State Address spelled out some first steps for getting clean drinking water to Flint, but the Kalamazoo Democrat says the governor’s speech didn’t get to the fundamental cause of the crisis.
State Representative Aric Nesbitt says a lot of people want to “play the blame game,” but the Lawton Republican says “it’s also about finding solutions, and making sure that the residents of Flint have clean water.”
(MPRN-Lansing) Governor Rick Snyder will deliver his sixth State of the State address Tuesday night. He will outline his priorities for 2016. But, it’s expected plans to address the Flint water crisis will dominate the speech.
Last year Governor Rick Snyder delivered his State of the State Address fresh off a re-election victory, and was being urged to run for President. Gongwer News Service Publisher John Lindstrom says a year later no one would suggest Snyder consider running for national office.
