What's new at WMUK

Saturday afternoon, Paw Paw Cub Scouts Troop 169 visited the WMUK studios on the Western Michigan University campus.  They learned about broadcasting on the way to finishing their Tiger Badges.

Williams recently completed a year-long fellowship with St. Louis Public Radio where she reported on race and cultural issues in the area.

A live taping of  one of NPR's most popular shows, 'Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!', will take place at WMU's Miller Auditorium, March 20th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available starting Friday, January 17th. You can find tickets through Miller Auditorium's ticketing service here.

WMUK is pleased to offer "The Bioneers: Revolution from the Heart of Nature" as a part of our new Morning Edition line-up.  This award-winning series of half-hour shows features the “bioneers” – social and scientific innovators with breakthrough solutions for people and planet. Cutting edge – charismatic – provocative – hopeful. These are the ardent voices of our most brilliant visionaries with both feet on the ground. They span the rich arc of human endeavor and practical transformation toward a future environment of hope.

The co-host of Grassroots and former host of Arts & More, Lorraine Caron, is retiring this year. Lorraine has worked in radio for 37 years and has been here at WMUK for 22 years.
