City commissioners spent seven hours meeting on Tuesday, first conducting hour-long interviews with all five finalists for the city manager position and then debriefing from the interviews. At the advice of Jerome Post, city of Kalamazoo human resources director, commissioners decided to reconvene at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 29.

LANSING - Michigan judges are in line for a 3% pay increase under a recommendation made today by the State Officers Compensation Commission. But pay will remain frozen for other top state officials, from the governor to state lawmakers.
