The Village of Vicksburg has awarded a tax break to Eimo Technologies in order for the company to complete their more than $9 million expansion. The injection molding company will get half off certain property taxes over 12 years. Eimo Technologies employs 250 people in Kalamazoo and 80 in Vicksburg. The company plans to add 65 jobs to the Vicksburg location within three years of completing their expansion. (Kalamazoo Gazette)

The village has received four applications so far for the vacancy left by former trustee Jeff Becker. Becker resigned this month after moving to Kalamazoo. His term will end in 2016. Those interested in a seat on the Vicksburg Village Council have until November 5th to apply. (Kalamazoo Gazette)

Crawford was ordered to pay more than $13,000 is restitution following his conviction on embezzlement charges.

The deal with prosecutors was reached earlier this week, according to court documents.
