'Check Your Privilege' Asks WMU Students, Staff About Race

Last year, with the help of a Kellogg Grant for Racial Healing, more than 160 students, staff, and faculty at Western Michigan University were interviewed about race relations on campus. The result is a documentary theatre piece called Check Your Privilege, premiering this week.

WMU Enrollment Down 1.6%

KALAMAZOO, MI - Western Michigan University announced today that it has fewer students for the fall 2014 semester than it did at this time last year despite seeing increases in international students and transfers. Overall, the university's enrollment dropped 1.6 percent from 24,294 in the fall 2013 semester to 23,914 this year, WMU announced in a press release Monday.

WMU Instructor, PhD Student Wins National Poetry Prize
