Contract Extension for WMU Football Coach P.J. Fleck Makes Him Highest Paid Coach in MAC

KALAMAZOO, MI -- P.J. Fleck made another very big wave Thursday evening. The second-year Western Michigan University football coach officially signed a six-year extension through the 2020 season and he will become the highest-paid coach in the Mid-American Conference with a guaranteed annual salary of $800,000 per year, according to a WMU press release.

WMU Football Stadium To Get New Scoreboard

Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard says the goal is to have the board up before the September game with Michigan State.
KALAMAZOO, MI - Western Michigan University football fans don't come to Waldo Stadium to put a puzzle together, but sometimes they might be forced to. During most games in recent years, blank malfunctioning squares on the video scoreboard at Waldo Stadium have forced fans to squint and focus a little harder when they watch replays on the big screen.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Western Michigan University athletic director Kathy Beauregard made it very clear the football program is in a good situation by playing in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. It's hard for Beauregard to not be ecstatic about where the program is after a 1-11 season last year.

WMU Football Coach P.J. Fleck to Get Contract Extension

Fleck currently makes $392,500 a year

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Western Michigan University is in the process of finalizing a contract extension with football coach P.J. Fleck, according to school officials. The new six-year contract, which is not yet finalized, would run through the 2020 season. The 34-year-old Fleck was hired in December of 2012.
