KALAMAZOO, MI -- Western Michigan football fans looking to sit with fellow Broncos for the season-opener at Purdue on Aug. 30 should think about acting fast. The WMU ticket office said it has 125 tickets left for the Purdue game, which is set to kick off at noon in West Lafayette, Ind.

Assistant WMU Football Coach Sues Penn State

KALAMAZOO, MI - Bill Kenney, the offensive line and tight ends coach for Western Michigan University, filed a federal lawsuit Monday against Penn State University. The lawsuit, which seeks $1 million in damages, was filed by Kenney and former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno's son, Jay Paterno, for their dismissal from the Penn State football staff in January 2012.

Former U-M running back Mike Hart to become assistant with Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Former University of Michigan star running back and Eastern Michigan assistant coach Mike Hart will be joining the Western Michigan University football program as an assistant coach, according to school officials. Hart will replace Charles Huff, who left last week to join James Franklin's staff at Penn State University.
