KALAMAZOO, MI -- There was no stopping Jarvion Franklin on Saturday as he rushed his way to 163 yards and three touchdowns in a loss at Purdue and for his efforts he was named on Monday the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Much was made about the quarterback position during fall camp and in the end Western Michigan football coach P.J. Fleck went with experience at quarterback. Fleck on Thursday officially named redshirt sophomore Zach Terrell the starting quarterback for the Broncos' season opener at Purdue on Aug. 30.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- Western Michigan football fans looking to sit with fellow Broncos for the season-opener at Purdue on Aug. 30 should think about acting fast. The WMU ticket office said it has 125 tickets left for the Purdue game, which is set to kick off at noon in West Lafayette, Ind.

Assistant WMU Football Coach Sues Penn State

Kenney joined Western's football program last year after he was dismissed by Penn State in 2012.
KALAMAZOO, MI - Bill Kenney, the offensive line and tight ends coach for Western Michigan University, filed a federal lawsuit Monday against Penn State University. The lawsuit, which seeks $1 million in damages, was filed by Kenney and former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno's son, Jay Paterno, for their dismissal from the Penn State football staff in January 2012.

KALAMAZOO, MI - P.J. Fleck continued two trends on Wednesday. He continued to call Western Michigan University's 2013 football record "unacceptable," and he continued to look towards the future. As the youngest coach in the country, Fleck led the Broncos to a 1-11 record last year, which included a loss to Football Championship Subdivision opponent Nicholls State.
