TOLEDO, OH - "Tired" and "sore" were two of the first words uttered by Western Michigan University's Darius Paul and David Brown, respectively, outside of the visitor's locker room Wednesday night at Toledo's Savage Arena. Imagine how the Rockets must feel - Paul and Brown wore THEM out during a 65-62 statement-making victory in a Mid-American Conference West Division first-place showdown.

It was tough enough for the Western Michigan University basketball team to contain Bowling Green's dynamic duo of A'uston Calhoun and Jordon Crawford Wednesday night. The Broncos made things more difficult on themselves with turnovers and missed free throws. As a result, WMU suffered its second straight loss on the road, 70-60, at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Western Michigan University men's basketball team has claimed victories all sorts of ways during its current winning streak. The Broncos found yet another way Wednesday night against visiting Kent State. They gutted one out and made big plays down the stretch in a high-scoring, foul-ridden affair, emerging with an 82-76 victory before 2,721 highly charged fans at University Arena.

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Western Michigan University basketball team won with style points in back-to-back victories over Toledo and Northern Illinois in its previous two games. Wednesday night against visiting Eastern Michigan, the Broncos won with hustle and grit, 63-59, to claim their third straight victory in a Mid-American Conference grinder at University Arena.
