2010 Oil Spill Air Pollution Report Released

LANSING, MI - Chemical odors following the July 2010 oil spill into the Kalamazoo River were miserable for the people in the area to experience. But the Michigan Department of Community Health's evaluation of the situation concludes that residents of Calhoun and Kalamazoo counties are not expected to experience long-term harm from breathing chemicals released into the air from the oil spilled into Talmadge Creek and the Kalamazoo River.
