ACLU Files Lawsuit Seeking Recognition of Same-Sex Marriages in Michigan

Detroit — The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan has filed a lawsuit against the state of Michigan to legally recognize the 300 gay and lesbian couples married March 22, the day after U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman’s historic ruling that struck down the state’s ban on same-sex marriage and adoption.
