PORTAGE, MI -- Misconduct charges leveled against former Portage Superintendent Ric Perry by the school district do not involve allegations of "financial illegality or abuse of public funds," Perry's attorney says. Christopher Morris of Kalamazoo contacted MLive/Kalamazoo Gazette by email on Saturday in response to a story posted Friday about Perry's relationship with Patricia Koeze, the district's human resources director.
