Bike, Pedestrian Policy Gets Cold Shoulder From Kalamazoo Road Commission

Last night members of the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study proposed a new “Complete Streets” policy, which would force road agencies to add non-motorized paths to roads and bridges after every repair. Commissioner Mark Warden says the county roads are already underfunded and this plan would leave less money for roads and bridges that need to be fixed.
KALAMAZOO, MI - As road repairs continue to be hot issue heading into this election season, a disagreement over how to best spend limited funding dollars has emerged in Kalamazoo County.
