Marshall Superintendent says it will take two to three years to know full impact of merger with Albion High School

In its first year of absorbing Albion students, Marshall High School saw a sizable improvement in its proficiency rate for math but reported small drops in writing, reading and science, according to state data released Monday. About 44 percent of the high school's 11th-graders tested proficient or better in math on the annual Michigan Merit Exam, compared to 35 percent last spring.
